Beautiful shots, Todd. I like the coffee cup lights - the mural is a bit scary. Scarier still is the swastika, but you're right - Hitler stole it from the HIndus and gave it a real bad name. Bali really does look more western than Java - oh, and did you buy the dress for Melissa????
The last one is not expandable but the smaller version of the image is intriguing. Great shot of the prayer offerings at the shrine. Did you buy Mel those dresses?
hi guys, i didn't even ask how much the dresses cost. ubud can be pricey. melis would rather spend money on traveling or extending her visa!!!!
the last shot was across from our motel room. i came home one night frustrated that i didn't like any of my shots and as i walked up the stairs i saw the photo opp. it still amazes me that my favorite shots are the unexpected/unplanned ones!
Indonesia@Night is a photography blog that displays images I have captured at night. The images show my perspective and view of Indonesia at night. I am living in Yogyakarta for 5 months so most photographs will likely be in and around Yogyakarta. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI, too, am intrigued by the last one - almost voyeurism - what's happening in all the dark space. Nice composition!
