From the yellow bridge...

I love shooting here in Indo.  I don't get any quizzical looks, which I am familiar with back in the States.  People seem more intrigued by my shooting more than anything else.  While shooting tonight a gentlemen came up to me and we chatted about photography.  He gave me tips on other bridges and interesting locations.

  1. Outstanding photos, once again! Love the laundry drying at night (does anything ever really dry out there?) And the moon behind the bridge is stunning. What's the blue streak on the second to last pic? And neat choice for photo #1. I like your style :-)

  2. +1 on the hanging laundry, and Ronan would put in a vote for the one with the moon.

  3. Just keep away from shooting in (lighted or otherwise) windows and you'll be fine! Sounds like you have fallen into the "Photography of the Night" genre like the Phantom of the Opera fell into the "Music of the Night" school of music in the opera of the same name! "Open up your mind," the Phantom advices in the song Music of the Night. Sounds like good advice to me! Good job T!

  4. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your crits and encouragement. I like your reference pops!

Anyhoo, the blue steaks on #5 is a police car wizzing by. I was hoping they weren't coming for me. Haha.

It's funny, the laundry shot was not what I planned on shooting that night and it turns out to be peoples favorite. I just never know what photos are going to turn out I guess. One thing I did want to portray is that florescent lights rule the city of Jogja. 95% of lights are florescent, even inside homes.

  5. Oh, just about everyone air dries here. There is no need for dryers!
