Yogyakarta has amazing pool halls. It's about 2 US dollars an hour for a table. An employee will reset the balls after each game as well as retrieve any cue balls that scratch.
Todd: Do you ever sleep these days (I mean nights)? Is there some significance to the fact the you refrained from including the "Eight Ball" in your portfolio? Neat idea and execution!
What cool shots (double entendre intended) - I especially like the action shots - #2 and #6. The colors of the pool balls in the dark really jump out at you. Great idea, Todd, and great photographs!
Great execution. The lighting is stellar... nice work. You should post a bit more about how you captured the images... would make it interesting for others to read. Image #6 looks risky for the camera (perspective makes it seem like the camera is on the table) and it appears all lights in the room were turned off save those above the table.
Indonesia@Night is a photography blog that displays images I have captured at night. The images show my perspective and view of Indonesia at night. I am living in Yogyakarta for 5 months so most photographs will likely be in and around Yogyakarta. Enjoy!
Some phenomenal play with light and depth of field...love it, Todd.

ReplyDeleteThanks B!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the 8 ball didn't make it:-) I felt it didn't stand out against the black background.
