Seriously, at $.12/lb even a skinflint like you should be eating a dozen mangoes a day. They are "high in prebiotic dietary fiber, vitamin C, polyphenols and provitamin A carotenoids"... I don't know what any of that means, but a nutritionist somewhere just got the goosebumps.
Yeah, I am a big fan of manggas. Many fruit stands have blenders and will make whatever kind of juice you want. I average about 3 mangga juices a week, Mel likes guava. E, what nutrients are found in guava juice? Ha!
I've been told some guavas are packed w/vitamin C, but that is entirely dependent upon the type of guava (look for the red flesh variety). But I'd stick with Mangoes. Why? Because they are much tastier; no amount of minerals can compete with benefits of inner peace.
Indonesia@Night is a photography blog that displays images I have captured at night. The images show my perspective and view of Indonesia at night. I am living in Yogyakarta for 5 months so most photographs will likely be in and around Yogyakarta. Enjoy!
Yummm - Mangos, right? for about 25 cents/kg, right? I'm getting hungry just looking at these photos!!

ReplyDeleteI agree, manggas all the way!
ReplyDeleteI knew E. would come through! And I'll put in my vote for manggas over guavas (sorry Meliss)
